IH083 - technology is dead - we are human after all

Today, I start a new series of solo shows that coincide with a book I wrote called Technology is Dead. The title was created three years ago in response to an invitation I received to provide a keynote address at the Singapore FinTech Festival, the largest financial technology festival in the world. My radical proposal was to present the idea that technology is dead. This means that technology only becomes of value to us when we animate it by connecting it intimately to human truth: technology is dead because it is an inanimate proposition that yields no value unless you link it to us.

In this episode, I introduce the prologue to my book, Technology is Dead, titled “We Are Human After All.” I discuss the growing gap between the physical and social technologies, between technology and us, and between technology and the systems we rely on to live in our world. I question why we are here and what constitutes a better life. I reveal how we can bridge the gap between us and technology and avoid dark consequences. I also share why we all need to become human revolutionaries and create a more expansive, meaningful definition for human progress.
